Spring Orientation is June 1

Save the date for the Spring Bluebird Trail Orientation held annually on the first Saturday in June!

We often talk about monitoring our “trails”. So what is a “trail”? A trail is a series of bluebird nest boxes strategically placed in order to entice a pair of mountain bluebirds to build a nest and raise their family (or families).

If you would like to see what a working trail looks like, you are invited to join Jim Leitch, President of MBTCS, on his trail in west Lethbridge.

There is a very good chance you will have an opportunity to see pairs of bluebirds, bluebird eggs, and very possibly, baby bluebirds (nestlings) along with other birds and wildlife.

Our 2024 Bluebird Orientation Day will be held on Saturday June 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. The Orientation will take approximately three hours.

Please register (send an email using the contact form) and plan to meet at Helen Schuler Nature Centre at 9am to convoy to the trail.

Space is limited! Registration is limited to only 12 participants. [A second orientation date will be scheduled as needed.]
