50th Anniversary AGM featuring Myrna Pearman (video)
The Mountain Bluebird Trails Conservation Society was thrilled to celebrate their 50th anniversary milestone at the Annual General Meeting on Saturday April 6, 2024 at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta.
We have a recorded version of the AGM and Myrna Pearman’s presentation for those unable to attend the meeting. Enjoy!
First, we begin with the regular AGM business you would expect…
Featuring Myrna Pearman
The second half of the AGM featured a presentation by Myrna Pearman, a biologist, enthusiastic nature writer and photographer. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
Myrna has authored/co-authored several books (including: Winter Bird Feeding: An Alberta Guide; Nestboxes for Prairie Birds; NatureScape Alberta: Creating and Caring for Wildlife Habitat at Home; Water Gardening: A Prairie Guide; Mountain Bluebird Trail Monitoring Guide; Children’s Bluebird Activity Booklet; Charlie, Winnie and the Bluebirds).
Myrna’s presentation features a brief history of our organization (MBTCS) and the key people who contributed to the early movement, as well as amazing photography and anecdotes from her new book ‘Beauty Everywhere: Volume II’.

We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm for bluebirds! Thank you for sharing your love of bluebirds with friends and family - remember to take someone under your wing and keep the spark going so MBTCS has another successful 50 years ahead!!!
Show your support
To celebrate the 50th anniversary the Mountain Bluebird Trails Conservation Society encourages past, present, and future supporters to make a $50 contribution to the MBTCS Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta.
Donations to the Society help to build and maintain the nest boxes and Bluebird Trails.
Donations can be made online at CanadaHelps.org/en/dn/72048 or by cheque to the Community Foundation (#50, 1202 2nd Ave S, Lethbridge, AB, T1J0E3). This will help to provide an annual grant to support MBTCS’ work every year, forever!
